And the success of our next generation depends on the quality of the water we
drink today. For ages we have relied on Rivers, Lakes, Wells and BoreWells as
primary source for our drinking water. But due to rapid industrialisation in
the past 20 years, all the surface water are polluted with dangerous Industrial
effluents and human waste of the big cities. Due to excessive use of underground
water, ground water has become salty and Hard and most of them are unfit to
drink. Now they contain an excess of Calcium and Magnisium salts than permissable.
Even some Municipal water are ground water taken from huge wells dug on river
beds. So most of our drinking water are not safe as recommended by WHO (WORLD
HEALTH ORGANISATION). Water infection is very common in crowded places like
factories, hotels and schools. So Water treatment plants are vital to prevent
water borne infection and improve the productivity and quality of the people.
Another problem is Getting Used to the drinking of unsafe Hard water. Most people
have got used to the hardness of water. But this will damage our health slowly
and even affect the quality of our gene. Hair loss and scaling of teeth are

THE PROCESS :
MAHA ECOLOGY water treatment systems uses Four stages of water purification. These process are the best and latest in the world developed by market leaders.
The Process involved are

2. C.T.O. CARBON FILTRATION
3. ULTRA FILTRATION (REVESE OSMOSIS (RO) MEMBRANE)
4. G.A.C. POST CARBON FILTRATION
SEDIMENT FILTRATION : Sediment Filtration is used to filter
visible particles such as Dirt, Rust, Big Sediments, Mud, Dregs, Organic growth
like fungus, moss etc, and other particulate and suspended matter in water.
Fine guaze of various size, Nonwoven Filters etc are used in this process. These
filters can be cleaned manually at periods and reused for a long time.
CARBON FILTRATION : C.T.O Carbon Filtration was used for a long time . Here
Carbon is used to absorb many unwanted elemants from water. Carbon filters are
very effective in eliminating RESIDUAL CHLORINE, HEAVY METALS, ORGANIC, PIGMENTS
and many others.
MEMBRANE FILTRATION : In this stage a special Membrane is used to filter the
water through the process of REVERSE OSMOSIS. Membranes provide the highest
degree of filtration. They eliminate most types of BACTERIA, VIRUS AND RESIDUAL
IMPURITIES through 0.01 - 0.4 micron pore size. Thus they provide a very safe
quality drinking water.
POST CARBON FILTER : This stage is also called as G.A.C. Filteration. Bacteria
can infect even boiled water within 8 hours of cleaning. So after 3 stages of
through filtration, G.A.C. Filters are finally used to prevent secondary bacteria
developement and unpleasent odours. It greatly improves the taste of the water
by this process.

INDUSTRIAL RO FOR DRINKING WATER : In the Photographs below, you can see the Industrial RO system to treat drinking water in large quantities. They are available in different capacities. They are very much useful for Factories, large institutions where humans use drinking water in large numbers. They ensure clean healthy water in very low operating costs. They also ensure the health and productivity of the people from inactivity due to infections.
SOFTNERS : Calcium and Magnesium group of salts cause temporary
or permanent hardness for water. When these salts exceed 150 ppm then the water
is unfit for domestic use. Pipelines and fittings will corrode with scaling.
Bacterial growth will be induced. Soap will not lather (foaming) for bathing
and washing purposes. Hair loss and weak teeth will be noticed on humans.
If your borewell contains hard water, it has these dissolved salts in it. MAHA
ECOLOGY softners can remove these salts and treat your underground
water into usable soft water and save you a lot of money. Industries can use
this soft water for any type of washing. Dish, Laundry and Bathing can be performed
excellently with this treated soft waters.
EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT :
The treatment of Industrial effluent is always a critical and difficult process.
It involves non profitable activities and is labour and capital intensive. Even
then, the conventional process often fail to meet the new and more stringent
standards imposed by the government. Since public awarness is growing and the
Orathupalayam Dam issue is at very critical stage, MAHA ECOLOGY offers a successful
effluent treatment system under the collaboration of world leaders. Looking
at the current scenario in India, Quality Water is becoming more scarce day
by day and its cost is getting very higher. Also Pollution norms are becoming
more strict day by day. Hence the reuse of effluent into quality water is becoming
a economically and technically vialble alternative. MAHA ECOLOGY has succesfully
established few projects of effluent treatment plants in Tirupur. Our system
include Primary effluent treatment, Reverse Osmosis with multiple evaporators
etc to achieve zero percent discharge of effluents and recycle more than 90%
the treated effluent into quality water and salts.
THE TECHNICAL PLAN : We have given a detailed sketch of the
flow of the effluent through various process. The following pages will give

HOMOGENIZING NEUTRALIZATION : In this phase we get the homogeneity of the different
unloadings coming from the production and the flow of organic and hydraulic
load introduced in the oxidation tank are regulated. This basin is also used
to regulate the pH among 7 and 8.5 before the passage to the biological one.The
production of nasty smells is avoided by agitation and inlet of air.
BIOLOGICAL : Here the bacterias use the air, blowed through micro bubbles diffusers,
to purify the water. The bacteria-water right time contact and the right quantity
of oxygen are produced with high yield systems and low energetic cost; they
guarantee a depuration efficiency up to 96-97% without help of chemical products
and the absolute absence of smells emission.
DECANTER : In the Sedimenter the bacteria flocks are separated (active sludge
shown in the bottom photograph) and they're re-sent continuously to the biological
tank. The inlet water into the decanter could be discharged directly to the
river, respecting the legal parameters or sent to the recovery phase.
QUARTZ FILTER : Whit the quartz filter the suspended solids are eliminated at
the exit of the decanter. The water to this point can be re-used for washings
or for irrigation.
RESIN FILTER : After the passage on special macro porous resins the water will
be completely decoloured with very low COD (20-50 mg/litre) A percentage of
water between 40 and 70% can be re-used mixing it to the inlet water for any
production use (dye, bleaching, washings, etc.).
REVERSE OSMOSIS : Using a reverse osmosis process we can get an excellent water
quality, practically demineralised and without salinity. The water obtained
with this process, besides the normal applications, can be reused for steam

RECOVERY : The quantity of recoverable water in the textile industry goes from
a minimum of 30% up to 70-80% according to the technology used and to the existing
salinity after its use in dyeing or printing processes
